Planned Improvements

The Hollywood Media District is working with the MTA and the City of Los Angeles on three grants which were awarded to the BID through the MTA's Call For Projects. The grants include a Pedestrian Improvements Grant, Wayfinding Sign Grant, and a Bus Stop Improvement Grant.

Progress of the three grants are reported through our quarterly newsletter. Currently, the Bus Stop Improvement Grant is being implemented on Santa Monica Blvd. throughout the district. The Pedestrian Improvement Grant, which will include three additional medians on Highland Avenue, Pedestrian Lights, Stamped Crosswalks, and Street Furniture began implementation September 2008 and should be completed by the end of November. The Wayfinding Sign Grant will include directional signage and a gateway sign, and should be implemented in mid-2008 also.
